Bio

Dr. Blumberg is the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. He previously served as the Program Director for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship.  He is a past President of the Jacobi Medical Staff and a founding member and current President of the North Bronx Faculty Practice.  Dr. Blumberg also plays a key leadership role in the Jacobi Pediatric Trauma Program as Associate Pediatric Trauma Medical Director.  He has also served on the board of the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY), representing Jacobi’s physician body, and chaired PAGNY’s Fringe Benefit (HR) Committee.

An active researcher, Dr. Blumberg has been Principal Investigator on numerous studies, securing grants for work focused on pediatric trauma, febrile infants, and patient safety in pediatric emergency medicine. He is board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and holds a faculty appointment as Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
