Dr. Burks is an Attending in the Division of Ambulatory Care. His areas of interest are in special needs children and premature infants.

Dr. Burks served as the Director of the residency program for twenty years and continues now as the Designated Institutional Official, where he helps with all graduate medical education programs in the hospital. He enjoys working with, mentoring, and supporting pediatric residents. He is an Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
